Each year, Southeast Missouri State University presents Merit Awards to alumni and a faculty member during the Homecoming celebration.  These awards are presented to those who have brought distinction to themselves and the University.

Chris began his career working at Galactic and left in 2005 to gain a broader insight of the incentive industry. During his time away from Galactic, Chris worked as an account executive for BI and Maritz. He also served as the Vice President of Business Development at Fusion Performance Marketing.

"We have seen our group size start to increase again, although we’re still doing the same amount of trips. Our participant counts—and money spent per trip—slipped during the bad economy. It’s now starting to go back up. People are heading back in the right direction. They know that incentives are their way of trumping the competition. Everyone wants to be the first to rev people up."

As I meet new people both in the industry and out, I'm constantly asked, "Just who is Galactic and what do you do?" So, I wanted to take a little time to answer that question. I want to tell you a little bit about how we started, who we are, what we do now and where we're going.
