"We have seen our group size start to increase again, although we’re still doing the same amount of trips. Our participant counts—and money spent per trip—slipped during the bad economy. It’s now starting to go back up. People are heading back in the right direction. They know that incentives are their way of trumping the competition. Everyone wants to be the first to rev people up."

I've been Galactic's chief operating officer for three years now, but I've worked here for 11 years. I've seen a lot of change, I've seen a lot of improvement, and I see a very bright future.

As I meet new people both in the industry and out, I'm constantly asked, "Just who is Galactic and what do you do?" So, I wanted to take a little time to answer that question. I want to tell you a little bit about how we started, who we are, what we do now and where we're going.

Our birth came from the food distribution industry, where we cut our teeth on vendor funded travel incentives for food service and c-store distribution centers. Galactic proudly announces its sponsorship of first-year cycling team, Freedom Riders. As a part of our continued support of the community, Galactic made a financial contribution to a team of 40 cyclists. Over the course of two days, May 1-2, the 40 Freedom Riders completed a total of 161 miles to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The team raised over $10,000 in addition to donations from their sponsors. Way to go!
